Corn stunt, as the name implies, results instunted plants. Severely infected plants and those infected early in their development may be only 5 feet tall with very short internodes, rather than the usual 10-12 feet in height. The stalk may have multiple ears, sometimes as many as 6-7 on a single plant. The ears are small and do not fill properly leaving a large number of blank spaces on the ear.
